Scholarships & Grants

Teacher residency programs听(for initial teaching certification seekers) pay you to co-teach in a local school and听provide you with a Nazareth tuition scholarship and mentoring:

ROC Urban Teaching Fellows Program听prepares you for a career in the Rochester City School District.
Monroe Regional Teacher Residency Program听prepares you for a career in suburban/rural Monroe County school districts.

听- Grants of up to $2,000 per semester to academically qualified students who intend to teach a听high-need听subject in an elementary school or secondary school or educational service agency that serves students from low-income families.听Nazareth's program list and information.
TOC II scholarship听for teacher candidates from听underrepresented populations听covers up to a third of tuition and helps with the cost of required teacher certification exams.
础听graduate assistantship听is a part-time job with a campus department (5-15 hours a week).
Clinical assistantship: covers up to a third of tuition
Veteran/military benefits听may cover some or all of this degree for you or your spouse or dependent.
Dave Vigren Scholarship - Awarded to a teacher candidate who has financial need and is interested in working with children/learners from challenging backgrounds, interested in urban education, who is in good academic standing, and who exhibits strong professional behaviors.

Job

Teacher Immersion Fellows Program: Work as a substitute teacher or assistant in a partner school district for a consistent number of days per week.

Adjusted payment schedules

If your employer reimburses part of your tuition, Nazareth's Employer Sponsored Tuition Plan (ESTP) enables you to delay tuition payment until the end of the semester.
Payment plans provide a way to spread out the cost. Nazareth's Student Accounts office provides details.

Grants and assistantships are limited and competitive and require separate applications.
Aid cannot exceed total cost.
